Joe Kubert Tor #5 Cover Original Art (DC, 1976). The cover for the story "The Giant One" features Tor fighting the titular Giant One in "the world of a million years ago..." (as the header says). It's a dynamic Kubert cover with great figure work in ink over graphite on Bristol board with a matted image area of 9.5" x 15". The corner box, DC Bullet, and header info are stat paste-ups (with a bit of glue residue near them). The upper right background (with the Pteradons) is an original art section pasted on from behind. There is a bit of glue residue and discoloring along the edge of the giant where the top board has been trimmed to show the second layer background. The logo is actually an original hand-drawn logo by Kubert. He also signed the work on the lower left. The board has been mounted on a 16" x 20" pressboard with a black paper mat over the top. Overall in Very Good condition.
