    Description

Joe Kubert Tomahawk #135 Cover Original Art (DC, 1971). Hawk, Son of Tomahawk, had taken over this title from his father just five issues before this. With his shock of yellow hair set in a black rock-&-roll pompadour, he cut quite a figure for this unusual Western series. Sadly... the series ended with issue #139. This stunning Kubert cover was rendered in ink and crayon over graphite on Sparta Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The corner box, logo, and other header dressing are all stat paste-up. Signed by Kubert in the image area. There are some pinholes in the markings of this lightly toned piece. In Very Good condition.
