    Jim Starlin and Al Milgrom Special Marvel Edition #16 Cover Shang-Chi Original Art (Marvel, 1974). This cover was Shang-Chi's second appearance! He was an original creation by writer Steve Englehart and artist Jim Starlin, and was conceived as the unknown son to the villain Fu Manchu from Sax Rohmer's series of novels. There is currently a movie in the works for a 2021 release titled Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This cover features him battling the assassin Midnight. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed as "Gemini" (a penname used by the Starlin-Milgrom team) and dated 1973 in the image area. The board is toned, with some handling wear on the edges and bottom margin. In Very Good condition.
