Description

Jim Osborne San Francisco Comic Book #4 Inside Front Cover Original Art (Print Mint, 1973). Mr. Chaplin auditions a young hopeful named Harlow for her "screen test" but gets the tables turn on himself, in this one-page strip (untitled, but known as "Charlie Jr.") that appeared as the inside front cover to this Underground Comix anthology. Real "Hollywood Babylon" stuff from the hand of Jim Osborne (1943-2001), who often drew inspiration from scandalous stories of the Silver Screen set. Ink on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The board is lightly toned, with a bit of stain running down the right side of the image area, and a corner ding in the top left (but not into the image area). Overall in Very Good condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
