Description

Jim Lee Wolverine #24 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1990). Logan finds himself searching through the alleyways of lawless Lowtown, in this dynamic cover illustration by fan-favorite Jim Lee. And what a pose Wolverine strikes here, with his shiny adamantium claws highlighted against the darkness. The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with blue pencils, red keyline ink, and whiteout; the logo masthead, UPC box, and gray city background are on an acetate overlay. Overall image size is 9.75" x 15", and the art is in Excellent condition, with a slight bit of handling wear in the outside border areas. A copy of the published comic is included. Cover art by Jim Lee is much-coveted; Heritage sold Lee's cover to Wolverine #27 for over $40,000 in 2012, and this piece is very much the equal to that dynamic cover (if not a shade better, presentation-wise). Expect some spirited bidding action on this one!
