Jim Lee and Dan Green Uncanny X-Men #248 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1989). First appearance of Jim Lee on the Uncanny X-Men! He would come back next for issue #252, and continue a run (missing only a few issues) up to #280. A transformative element on both this title, and comics in general, Jim Lee's pre-Image Comics art work is in high demand. So a key issue such as this should get a lot of attention. This was the cover for the Chris Claremont story "The Cradle Will Fall!". It was produced in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Marvel cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The corner box and logo are a stat paste-up. Colossus' word balloon is a Tom Orzechowski hand-lettered paste-up. There is a missing paste-up caption box just under the "N" in the logo, leaving glue residue there. There is also some glue residue below that on the right side, a bit under the corner box on the left, and a third bit above Colossus. Signed by Jim Lee in the lower margin. In Very Good condition. From the Personal Collection of Jim Lee.
