Jean Frisano Special Strange #33 Phoenix's Death Cover Original Art (Lug, 1983). With his incredible talent, French artist Jean Frisano brings to life John Byrne's iconic cover of 1980's X-Men #136, the comic book that preceded the issue where Jean Grey/Phoenix meets her tragic fate. A striking scene beautifully crafted in gouache on Bristol board with an image area of 8.5" x 8". Pinholes, minor creasing outside the art area, , and light handling wear. There is a title sketch with editorial notes in pen on the reverse side. In Very Good condition.
