Jay Lynch The Tiajuana Bible Revival Volume Three: Blow Me Down Unpublished Cover Original Art (1976). Popeye and crew get all freaky on this insanely funny cover art to a collection of 1930s "Tijuana Bible" hardcore comic strips (Note: it's incorrectly spelled "Tiajuana" on the art). Gee, we always thought Olive Oyl was rather flat-chested -- guess this is why Popeye went for her! Yikes! Legendary Underground cartoonist Jay Lynch adds the entire E. C. Segar Thimble Theater gang on this debauched illustration, creating this piece is ink over graphite with white-out or white cel vinyl on paper, with an approximate image area of 13" x 9". It was made for the front cover of the unpublished Volume Three of The Tiajuana [sic] Bible Revival in 1976. While the sidebar logo is a stat, Lynch hand-drew Popeye giving a one-finger salute on the stat paper. Unsigned. The art is matted with a film Color Key proof, for an overall size of 17" x 20". Excellent condition.
