Description

James Bama Doc Savage #15 Murder Melody Paperback Novel Cover Painting Original Art (Bantam, 1967). The story "Murder Melody" was first printed in the November-1935 issue of Doc Savage Magazine (Vol.6 #3). This cover piece was created for the Bantam Books reprint in novel form. The flute-playing aliens are floating in the background of this richly purple piece by Bama. Created in oil on illustration board. Signed in the lower right of the 14" x 23" image area. The 20" x 28" illustration board has glue residue in the margins from a previous frame/mat job. The colors are rich and vibrant, and this is definitely a piece that will make you say "Well I'll be superamalgamated!" In Very Good condition, and the image area itself is in Excellent condition.
