Jacques Tardi Le Secret de l'Etrangleur
Cover Original Art (Casterman, 2006). Words sometimes fail
to capture the essence of certain treasures in the Ninth Art, and
this cover is one such gem. Jacques Tardi, at his finest here,
masterfully conveys through the simplicity of his lines the dark,
icy sensation of rain pounding the cobblestones of Parisian
streets, and the chilling, murderous intent of the strangler. As
Tardi retained the entire story, this cover is the only work from
the series Le Secret de l'Étrangleur available on the
market. Presented at the 7th Biennale du 9e Art in 2013 in
Cherbourg, this story left no one unmoved. The visual was published
in 2006 by BD Horizon as a silkscreen triptych of 250 copies,
numbered and signed by Jacques Tardi. Ink on Bristol board with an
image area of 15" x 11". Museum framing. Signed. In Excellent
