DescriptionJack Kirby, Joe Sinnott, and Marie Severin Thor #258 Grey Gargoyle Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). The Grey Gargoyle is showcased in this classic "King" Kirby cover for "If the Stars Be Made Of Stone." This is the last Thor cover for the title that Kirby drew. Marie Severin stepped in and added a few art corrections to this fantastic Kirby/Sinnott cover, and thanks to the Joltin' One's dazzling inks, the stone texture really comes across superbly. This piece has an image area of 10" x 15". Aside from a closed hole with radiating tears, just to the left of the "T" in the Thor logo, some glue staining left behind by missing pasted-on word balloons at the upper left, and touches of white-out used for Marie Severin's art touch-ups, the art is in Very Good condition. Signed by Jack Kirby at the lower left.
