Description

Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott Fantastic Four #95 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1970). Most anyone seeking a Kirby Fantastic Four cover would seek one inked by Sinnott and featuring all four team members in action. Consider those boxes checked here, with a spectacular background thrown in for good measure! This is just the fifth time in twenty years we've offered a published Kirby FF cover from the main series, and we're tickled to have had even that many, as these, once acquired, tend to take up permanent residence in a collection. A note on the Fantasticar appearance here: it's one of just two Kirby FF covers to show that classic vehicle, the only other one being a shot of the "bathtub-style" version all the way back on issue #3 (presumably the cover art from #3 has not survived). And this cover also marked the debut of the blockier logo style that was used for the next couple of years. The art was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The page is slightly toned, with typical production staining, and corner and edge wear. There are staple holes in top margin. In Very Good condition.
