Jack Jackson Bogeyman #3 Cover Original Art (Company and Sons, 1970). Cover art to the third and last issue of this EC Horror-inspired series originally begun by Gary Arlington, with art by Texas-born cartoonist Jaxon (the late Jack Jackson). Although unsigned, this is clearly Jaxon's work (despite an attribution to Rory Hayes in the Grand Comicbook Database, probably due to Jaxon's use of a Hayes-designed demon). All three issues of Bogeyman were somewhat tough to find outside of California, but this one was perhaps the more common of the three. The art is in ink, whiteout/white paint, and Zipatone shading film on paper, with an approximate image area measuring 9" x 11" and matted to an overall 13" x 16". The art is held to the mat with acetate corners. Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
