DescriptionJack Davis MAD Magazine #296 Cover Original Art (EC, 1990). Legendary artist Jack Davis has so many facets to his long and illustrious career, that it is hard to pin him to any particular thing. However, many fans first encountered his work on the covers of MAD Magazine, and on the insides as well. Here we can see the "What, me worry?" kid, Alfred E. Neuman, is anything but "safe" from the results of his call on this play. The highly detailed piece was crafted in ink and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with a matted image area of 13" x 16.5". Signed in the lower right of the image area, this home run piece is matted out to 17.5" x 21.25" and in Excellent condition. Don't strike out... get your bid in early!
