Jacen Burrows Providence #6 Variant Cover Original Art (Avatar Press, 2015). On Burrows' Women of HPL variant for Providence #6 -- with "HPL" nodding to H. P. Lovecraft, whose fiction the series intricately reworks -- Elspeth Wade stands in quiet, unsettling poise before the framed portrait of her father, Edgar Wade. The composition evokes the specter of Asenath Waite from "The Thing on the Doorstep", threading Lovecraft's themes of inheritance and identity into Alan Moore's larger mythos tapestry, where bloodlines and bodies alike are perilously unstable. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.25" x 15.75". Signed and dated by Burrows in the center image area. In Excellent condition.More information about Jacen Burrows.
