DescriptionHerb Trimpe and Vince Colletta G. I. Joe and the Transformers #1 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1986). This cover features the fan-favorite Transformer, Bumblebee, being blown up by Scarlet, Roadblock, Hawk, and Snake-Eyes of the G.I. Joes. In the 1980s, Marvel Comics was publishing two different series that were each based on smash animated cartoon hits. So a four-part cross-over mini-series was bound to happen! This heart-breaking cover is rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The corner box and logo are original paste-up, and the piece is signed by Trimpe as well as Editor-in-Chief Jim Shooter. Slight tanning with minor pinholes in top margin. In Excellent condition.
