Description
Harvey Kurtzman Two-Fisted Tales #18 Cover Original Art (EC, 1950). A showdown on the high seas for this classic cover by Kurtzman. We get the dramatic point of view from behind the hooked hand of a buccaneer by the legendary artist -- the use of black creating a sense of danger that EC comics reveled in for their "He Man Adventure" books. Rendered at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13.5" x 19.25", matted to 18" x 24". Slight toning, stat logo, header, and title paste-ups, adhesive residue staining, pinholes in the top margin, whiteout corrections in the margins, scratch effect abrasions, red key lines, with light smudging/handling wear.
