DescriptionHal Foster Prince Valiant Fights Attila The Hun Wrap-Around Book Cover Original Art (Hastings House, 1952). An incredible all-original wraparound cover, as commissioned for this second hardback book that re-told the story of events of the Prince Valiant comic strip from 1939-1940. Using reprinted panels and new prose text, this book reproduced the art in black and white to wonderful effect. The action-packed cover is stunningly detailed in ink and red ink key lines over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.5" x 17.5", matted to 28" x 23". The board is lightly toned, with a print paste-up logo. There are a few smudges in the upper section, and a bit of glue residue from a missing paste-up in the lower right corner. Overall in Very Good condition. Comes with a copy of the hardcover book in Excellent condition with a dust jacket that is worn and in Good condition. The cover art is printed on the book cover as well as the dust jacket. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
