Description
Greg Capullo and Danny Miki Spawn Unused Cover Original Art (Image, 2005). Spawn holds a huge gun in this detailed illustration by Capullo and Miki. We believe the piece was planned for a Spawn cover around Issue #150 (2005), but remained unused. The image of Spawn holding the gun (with no background and different inks) appeared in a solicitation for Issue #247 (2014), but wasn't used for the cover and still remained unpublished. The image was finally used for the cover of #302, with inks by Todd McFarlane. It appears Capullo's Spawn image was repurposed for the issue by McFarlane, leaving the original piece, beautifully inked by Miki, unused. Ink and white paint over graphite on Image Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.5". Studio label in the top right corner, with light handling wear. Signed by the art team in the lower image area and in Excellent condition.Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
