Description

Gray Morrow - Red Circle Sorcery #9 Cover Original Art (Archie, 1974). When Archie Comics started up a line of fantasy comics under their Red Circle imprint, they chose Gray Morrow, one of the most accomplished artists in the genre to serve as editor. It was an inspired decision as Morrow brought in an outstanding line-up of talent, including Alex Toth, Pat Boyette, Doug Wildey, Wally Wood, and Vincente Alcazar. Gray Morrow had earned a solid reputation as one of the best illustrators in the business, having drawn superb pieces for Gilberton, Warren, and DC, as well as countless science-fiction digests. Gray Morrow's unparalleled skill at using variegated textures is highlighted in this big and beautiful cover scene. The image area of the cover measures a whopping 14" x 21", and the art is in Excellent condition. A Gray Morrow fan would be hard-pressed to find a more spectacular showpiece than this chiller!
