DescriptionGray Morrow Perry Rhodan #103 Paperback Book Cover Painting Original Art (Ace, 1976). This striking cover scene for False Front has many of the key features a sci-fi aficionado would want -- a futuristic submarine, a fearsome "thunder lizard," and perhaps most importantly -- a scantily-clad fantasy femme fatale! The Perry Rhodan novels originated as a weekly series in Germany starting in September of 1961. These space opera adventures were introduced to American audiences by the legendary Forry Ackerman of Famous Monsters of Filmland fame. Forry's wife, Wendy, translated the novels for Ace Books, and most of the superb covers were created by Gray Morrow or George Wilson. This acrylic on board painting has an overall size of 15" x 20", and other than some edge and corner wear, the art is in Very Good condition.
