Description

Gil Kane The Mighty Marvel Western #46 Kid Colt Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1976). Kid Colt faces a wall of iron at sundown, hemmed in by locked-and-loaded pistols on the final issue's cover. Kane frames the moment with gun-barrel tension as Blaine Colt shoots a weary glance over his shoulder. Ink over graphite on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 10.25" x 15". To accommodate the logo paste-up, the upper outline of Kid Colt's hat was cut free and flipped over the bottom of the logo. Light toning, with some minor staining, missing UPC box paste-up, glue residue staining, stat logo/trade dressing and blurb paste-ups, abrasion and staple holes in top left corner, corner creasing, and handling wear. Signed by Kane underneath the top corner box. In Very Good condition.
