DescriptionGil Kane - Original Cover Art for Supernatural Thrillers #6 (Marvel, 1973). This cover to Supernatural Thrillers #6, is a police story with a twist. The Headless Horseman comes out of ectoplasmic retirement to defend his name, when a group of criminals uses his image to kill a police officer. This harrowing scenario is brought to by Gil Kane, and when it comes to classic Headless Horseman imagery, it's about as good as it gets. Kane has picked the optimum moment, as the Horseman strikes, horse reared, snarling, his flaming skull thrown with a demoniacal determination. The overall art size is 10.5" x 17.5" with a 10" x 11" image area. The art is clean and bright, with very little aging apparent. There is one very small stain at the extreme bottom edge. The original logo, indicias, and type boxes have been replaced by photocopies. Signed by Gil Kane at the bottom right.
