DescriptionGil Kane Kull the Destroyer #17 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1976). When Strikes The Kraken! This cover for the story "The Thing From Emerald Darkness" has had the inks alternately credited to Tom Palmer, and then Klaus Janson. There is no mistaking that Gil Kane layout and style in the pencil work, however! A great piece, it is produced in ink over graphite and blue pencil with whiteout art corrections on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo, header, corner box, and cover captions are all paste-ups. The girl in the center of the piece is an original art paste-up as well. The "T", "Y", and last "E" in Destroyer are replacement paste-ups. There is tanning, with some glue residue near paste-ups, and a bit of production oil stains in the margins. Overall in Very Good condition.
