Description

Gil Kane Iron Man #78 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1975). Iron Man takes fire from the Viet Cong while struggling to remain airborne with damaged armor on this pulse-pounding cover. Dynamic Kane pencils are inked by an undocumented artist, with various inkers having been speculated, including Klaus Janson and Frank Giacoia, among others. Ink over graphite on cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Slight toning, stat logo/header and text paste-ups, excess residue staining and some paste-ups are taped, staple holes at the top, indentations in the left margin, blue pencil editorial marks and whiteout corrections, with staining and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
