Description
Gil Kane Blackhawk #273 Cover Original Art (DC, 1984). The Blackhawk Squadron goes down fighting on this perilous Gil Kane cover, clinging to their wrecked plane as another aircraft screams in for the kill. It's a fittingly high-stakes image for the final issue of the original long-running DC run, bringing the classic seven-man lineup together for one last mission: leader Blackhawk, André, Chuck, Hendrickson, Olaf, Stanislaus, and Chop-Chop, with Wu Cheng returning to the team just in time for the last dogfight. Ink and marker over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Light toning, heavier on the edges, minor foxing, slight ink fading, smudging, soiling, glue residue, stat logo/trade dressing and cover blurb paste-ups, smudging/soiling, production tape and partial label affixed to the edges, whiteout corrections, and minor handling wear.
