Description
Gil Kane and Murphy Anderson Green Lantern #29 Black Hand Cover Original Art (DC, 1964). This cover is almost as Silver-Agey as a cover can get! Gil Kane's Green Lantern art typified the kooky science fiction feel of DC at the time. This cover was also quite literally the very first appearance of Black Hand! A recurring GL villain of B-Grade importance, he would be catapulted to fame and infamy as the key villain in the 2009 cross-company event Blackest Night. This oversized "twice-up" scale original cover is produced in ink over graphite, on Bristol board, with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Logo/price/issue #/CCA stamp are all replacement stats. Tanned with handling and slight corner wear, there is a production hole-punch in the top margin. Otherwise in Excellent condition.More information about Gil Kane.
