DescriptionGil Kane and Frank Giacoia Marvel Treasury Edition #14 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1977). One of the great comic art legends (and no stranger to Spider-Man books), Gil Kane, provided the cover on this treasury sized collection of the "Four-Armed Spidey vs. Morbius" story that he produced in 1971. The stories reprinted in the issue are from Amazing Spider-Man #100-102. Kane signed and dated the art (2-27-77); however, though legible, that signature is quite faded. The printed cover is slightly different than the original art on this page, as the image was moved down to accommodate the logo and header. This meant moving Morbius and the Lizard down below Spider-Man as well. It was originally intended for the back cover. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 15.5". Tanned, it is in otherwise Excellent condition. Matted to 17.5" x 21", it comes with a copy of the treasury-sized comic, in Good condition.
