DescriptionGeorge Tuska and Frank Giacoia Iron Man #8 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1968). Iron Man is dwarfed by a giant Gladiator with flying fists of steel, in this impressive cover from the hands of Golden/Silver Age pencil artist George Tuska and Marvel inker supreme, Frank Giacoia. This cover illustration is about as dynamic as they come from Marvel's late Silver Age, with a great full-body portrait of the classic Iron Man. This is the same image used on many Marvel products of the day, and is pretty much instantly recognizable to any serious fan. The art is in ink and white paint over graphite on Curtiss Bristol board, with an image area of 10" x 15". All logo stats and pasted-on type blurbs are original, although they are all slightly lifting off at the edges. There is also a bit of handling wear, minor staining around the issue number, masthead logo stat, and near Iron Man's leg, with slight areas of soiling, but there is still plenty of eye appeal here; the cover will look fantastic when framed and mounted on your wall! Face Front all you lovers of Marvel, do your Merry March to the computer, and place a bid!
