Description
George Pérez Wonder Woman #9 Cover Original Art (DC, 1987). A striking and memorable cover, as the Cheetah defaces a Wonder Woman billboard, which also serves as the cover logo for this issue. Pérez' run on this title was a high-water mark for the character, as he helped to re-establish her in the DC Universe after the relaunch of her title post-Crisis. The art for this cover was rendered in ink over graphite on DC Sparta cover stock Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The DC bullet, upper "Wonder Woman" title, and the issue/price box are all low-res replacement pieces affixed directly to the board. The Wonder Woman logo in the lower section was created from a printed version that was then hand-inked (with additional Wonder Woman hair art) by the creator George Pérez (possibly at a later date when he signed the piece in the top section of that panel).
