Description
George Pérez and Joe Sinnott Marvel Two-In-One #33 Cover The Thing Original Art (Marvel, 1977). It was a bold choice to give the Fantastic Four's boisterous Ben Grimm his own title, and then make it a team-up book, but this title was a gem, with amazing artwork and guest-stars each issue. This great Pérez cover features Modred the Mystic in his second appearance! Crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Once finished, it was decided to move the figure of Ben and Alicia up in the image, so they were stat-ed, and added to an acetate overlay with some original art and a paste-up caption box. The cover is signed by Pérez in the UPC box. All header/logo info are stat paste-ups. The reverse of the board has a "Thing head" sketch in pencil that seems to be signed by Sinnott, and addressed to Marie Severin (the colorist for the issue?).
