DescriptionGeorge Baker - Sad Sack #12 Cover Original Art (Harvey, 1951). Times sure have changed from the days when setting somebody on fire was considered a great practical joke -- and boy are we glad! A goofy image by Sad Sack's creator, George Baker, this is from the early run of the book where Sack was a civilian. Readers couldn't quite wrap their minds around a Sad Sack out of uniform, and so he was quickly sent back to his olive drabs. A super piece from this timeless series, the artwork survived only as a rough cut-out which as been mounted onto a newly-created board re-creating the logo and text elements. In Excellent condition overall, the art measures 10.75" x 15".
