DescriptionGeorge Baker - Original Art for Sad Sad Sack World (Harvey, 1965). Sad Sack and Sarge try their hand at entertaining the troops by becoming a singing group! Looks like the "G. I. Burps" won't go hungry tonight! Wildly angular art in the Baker tradition, this cover illustration adorned an unidentified issue of Sad Sad Sack World. Apparently it was intended to be for Sad Sack Army Life Parade #11, as noted on the upper margin in pencil, but changed at the last minute. At any rate, it's a great gag illustration featuring one of America's most beloved servicemen. The piece measures 14.5" x 18", and is in excellent condition.
