Gene Colan, Frank Giacoia, and John Romita Sr. Daredevil #31 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1967). "DD without his super-powers in the most dangerous fight of his life!" The cover for the story "Blind Man's Bluff!" is one of the earliest twice-up Gene Colan covers we have ever offered. Classic Marvel Silver Age at its finest by some of the top talent from "The House of Ideas". Produced by Gene Colan and Frank Giacoia, John Romita Sr. then did some alterations on it. There is an original art layer containing Mr. Hyde and Cobra that is pasted on top of the main Bristol layer. The main image area under that is also its own layer on top of the Curtiss Way Bristol board, with an overall image area of a huge 13.25" x 20.25. There are whiteout art corrections across the cover. The art is ink over graphite and blue pencil. The logo is a stat paste-up, and the two cover blurbs are paste-up as well. A bit of production tape holds on the issue number. Great eye-appeal and a hum-dinger of a Colan cover! In Very Good condition.
