    Fred Ray Action Comics #40 Cover Re-Creation Original Art (c. 1980s). Fred Ray re-creates a classic and iconic Superman image for this World War II cover. Ray was a natural choice for this re-creation as he was the original artist for the cover in 1941! The redux of the cover was rendered in tempera over graphite on illustration board. Signed in the lower right of the 14.25" x 18.25" piece. Matted to 23" x 27.25", and in Excellent condition.
