DescriptionFred Pfeiffer Zion Road Cover Painting Original Art and Book Group of 2 (McFadden, 1970). Fans of Simon Harvester's thriller-novels about British Intelligence Agent Dorian Silk are bound to flip over this original painting for Zion Road, seventh in a 12-book series of 1961-'76. Pfeiffer brilliantly crystallizes the tale of Mideastern conflict in this depiction of Silk, under fire while attempting to rescue a kidnap victim. The basic art has been modified with a white-painted area, applied to isolate the main figure for additional use beyond the publication of the novel. A copy of the paperback edition is included. Gouache on Illustration board. Image area, 13.5" x 11". Moderate age-toning. Small patch of chipped paint at lower right. Very Good condition.
