Description

Frank Miller and Tom Palmer Doctor Strange #46 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1981). This thrilling, notable cover dates from early in Miller's career, and is the only one he provided for this series. Stephen Strange and his apprentice/lover Clea are besieged by the cultists of Sibylla, who dominates the background of the piece, which makes excellent use of depth of field. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 14". Signed by Miller in the lower right corner. Accompanied by a copy of the issue. Faint toning around borders, tiny stain on the top left corner, small crease to the bottom right corner, light smudge to the right edge, whiteout in the borders, and a tape pull on the top back edge. In otherwise Excellent condition.
