DescriptionFrank Miller and Klaus Janson Daredevil #186 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1982). Frank Miller's incredible career in comics was kick-started when he went to work on Daredevil, after long-time artist Gene Colan left the title. Miller successfully made the character his own, and in this exceptional cover image, the Man Without Fear is falling down, down, down a deep city canyon, characterized by rows and rows of windows all around him. Sure looks frightening to us! It's one hellofa cover image, especially as all the red-line windows (seen as color rectangles on the printed book) are a nice contrast from the black inked figure in the center of the art. This one will look terrific when framed! The art is in black ink with red ink key lines over graphite, with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The smaller image of Daredevil in the upper left corner is a photostat, but the added whiteout leads us to believe this was the actual production image and not a later replacement. There is a small amount of handling wear along the outer borders, with a couple of light stains present in the lower right, but the overall image area remains in Excellent condition. Frank Miller signed the page at left.
