    Description

Frank Brunner and Tom Palmer - Original Cover Art for Tomb of Dracula #12 (Marvel, 1973). This cover image by Frank Brunner is a true classic among a host of great covers for this title. The transformation of Dracula has rarely been illustrated this successfully. He believably embodies terror in the eyes of his female victim. Tom Palmer's inks are as crisp as ever on the many building textures and the swirling, spectral-like Dracula. This cover measures 11.5" x 17.5". The image area is 10" x 15". The transformation figures are drawn on a vellum paper overlay, and the title mast and word balloons are stats. The female victim's right leg was cut out and repositioned. Still, this is an outstanding piece sure to thrill any monster maven.
