Description

Ethan Van Sciver 52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen #1 Justice League of America Cover Original Art (DC, 2007). The Four Horsemen -- War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death -- size up their adversaries, finding little to fear on this cover for the follow-up event to DC's New 52. The scale of the Horsemen is staggering, emphasizing the monstrous threat they pose and diminishing the presence of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, making DC's Trinity appear far less intimidating than usual. Vivid detail and compelling composition define this piece, crafted in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Minor smudging and some discoloration along the left edge that slightly enters the image area. Signed in the lower right and in Excellent condition.
