DescriptionErnie Chan and Vince Colletta House of Secrets #144 Cover Original Art (DC Comics, 1977). An unusual pairing of penciller with inker -- Chan's delicately composed basic image, finished out in Colletta's old-fashioned broad-stroke pen-and-brush style. The extreme foreshortening of the arm on the female figure lends a nightmarish surrealism. Two cover-blurb boxes have fallen away. The piece shows considerably more detail than was apparent in the heavily colored and shadowed published version. Signed by both artists. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 10" x 15". Light toning overall, with scattered adhesive staining. Very Good condition.
