Description

Edmond Good Short Stories Magazine Cover Original Art (Doubleday, 1942). A powerful pulp magazine illustration of a skeleton in the desert, as painted by one of the master artists of the era, Edmond Good. A note on the back of the painting reads "Short Stories Cover Sept. 1942," but is not the published cover art for either of the two September issues from 1942. This is either an unpublished piece, or an alternative cover for the Canadian edition. At any rate, it's a worthy piece, painted in oils on textured board. In Good condition. Signed in the lower right corner.
