Superman is back ...and on one of the very few cover images featuring the iconic shirt-ripping image. This was the issue where Clark Kent was "found" alive in the wreckage of the Daily Planet building... by Superman. Ed Hannigan provided the breakdown for this great cover with the iconic costume change motif. It was penciled by one of the most talented Superman artists ever... Kerry Gammill, and it is signed by Gammill and Guice in the image area. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo is printed on a production acetate overlay. The corner box, with DC bullet, and UPC box are production stat paste-ups. This outstanding cover is in Excellent condition.
