Description

Drew Struzan Action Comics #800 Superman Homage Cover Original Art (DC, 2003). Renowned movie poster artist Drew Struzan provides a new perspective of the iconic scene featured on the cover of Action Comics #1 from 1938 -- Superman effortlessly lifting a car over his head as people flee in terror. And in this realistic homage, the panicked man running for his life in the bottom left is none other than the artist himself! This is a stunning rendition of the cover that debuted the Man of Steel, illustrating Struzan's immense talent that made him such an artistic force and showcasing Superman as never seen before... and sadly, never to be seen again, after the artist's passing last year. Mixed media board with an image area of 11.5" x 18", matted and glass-front framed to 33" x 41". Light frame wear and signed by Struzan in the bottom right image area. Presents in Excellent condition.
