Perhaps best known for his work on the Golden Age Frankenstein, Dick Briefer drew all 33 issues, both straight horror and slapstick comedy versions. His was a unique and versatile talent. This whimsical oil on canvas board painting, painted in the year of Briefer's death, has an image size of approximately 19" x 23", and it has been matted and framed to an overall size of 24.5" x 28.5". The art is in Excellent condition. Signed by Dick Briefer at the lower right. From the Estate of John McLaughlin.
