DescriptionDenis Kitchen Mom's Homemade Comics #3 Cover Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1970). Denis Kitchen is perhaps best known as a publisher, but he began his career as a charter member of the Underground Comix generation that changed the face and economics of the comic book business. A large retrospective book of his artwork, The Oddly Compelling Art of Denis Kitchen, was recently published by Dark Horse, but his original art rarely comes to market. He has been quoted as saying that this particular cover was intended to make his presumed pot-smoking readers feel paranoid! The art is in ink, graphite, and Zipatone shading film on illustration board, with an approximate image area of 9" x 13" and is in Excellent condition.
