Description
David Mack Swamp Thing V3#14 Cover Painting Original Art (DC/Vertigo, 2001). This series of Swamp Thing starred the original Swamp Thing's daughter, Tefé Holland, who is cover featured here. David Mack rose to fame with his own character Kabuki, but quickly gained even more fans with his work on New Avengers, Daredevil, and Alias. Like much of his cover work, this piece is delicate and lovely. The term "mixed media" has never been more apt, as this is composted of lace, feathers, and actual leaves from trees that are collaged on board and painted with watercolors. The butterfly in this piece is actually hand-painted painted feathers. It is signed by Mack in the lower image area, and handsomely matted to 10.5" x 16.5" in the attractive 20" x 26.5" glass front frame. A gorgeous piece in Excellent condition.More information about David Mack. See also: Mack, David Artist. Lookup the Comic Book in our Guide
