    Description

Dave Gibbons Watchmen #7 Nite Owl's Hovercraft Cover Original Art (DC, 1987). Though the Watchmen covers were anything but bargains when we auctioned them in 2013, we have since heard from many a collector who is kicking himself for not bidding more back then. Since only 12 issues were made and just 11 covers survive, this is a rare chance to secure one. Donning their superhero costumes for the first time, after years in hiding, Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II set out in "Archie" to break Rorschach out of prison. This compelling image for the seventh Watchmen chapter, "A Brother to Dragons," was created in ink over graphite on DC Bristol board, with an image area of 9.75" x 15". The logo and DC bullet on the left bar are all a large single stat paste-up. There are two original art correction paste-ups on the original art. In Excellent condition.
