Dave Cockrum Ms. Marvel #18 Cover - Mystique First Appearance as Raven Darkhölme Issue Original Art (Marvel, 1978). It was Mystique's second appearance, but it was her first appearance in her "true" form as Raven Darkhölme after her cameo in the prior issue as Nick Fury. On this cover, Carol Danvers (aka: Ms. Marvel/Binary/Warbird/Captain Marvel) is surrounded by her Avengers pals Wonder Man, the Vision, Scarlet Witch, Yellowjacket, and the Wasp. Created in ink on 9.5" x 13.5" vellum, trimmed, and affixed to a standard Marvel Bristol board. There are two large vertical rips across her thigh and Yellowjacket's thigh. (3" and 2") There is whiteout art clean-up on the vellum. There is a flip-up low-res modern-day masthead/logo that has been added. The stat with the text that appeared at bottom "Even Avengers Can Die!" is missing. In Good condition.
