Description
Dave Cockrum and Terry Austin Ms. Marvel #17 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1978). Carol Danvers is down but not out on this great cover by fan-favorites Cockrum and Austin. With Carol Danvers showing up in Marvel movies as Captain Marvel, and with a Ms. Marvel TV series planned (starring the Kamala Khan version of the character), we are seeing an uptick in interest in Ms. Marvel. And of course, this issue became a key since the interior story had the first appearance of Mystique. The cover was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". Signed by the artist on the middle left side, and signed again by Cockrum in the UPC box. The board is toned. The logo, corner box, and header are all stat paste-ups. Cover dialog is also stat paste-up. There is glue residue near the paste-ups, and whiteout on the board. In Very Good condition.More information about Dave Cockrum. See also: Cockrum, Dave Artist.
